# Used Ram 1500 Truck Beds, 5'7" & 6'4" Boxes

> Used Ram 1500 truck beds in 5-foot-7 and 6-foot-4 lengths, 4th and 5th gen, complete or as panels. How to measure your box, and why DS and DT beds differ.

**We sell complete used Ram 1500 truck beds in the two lengths that fit Quad and Crew Cab trucks, 5-foot-7 and 6-foot-4,** from 2009 to 2024 DS and Classic trucks and 2019 to 2026 DT trucks, with or without the RamBox side bins. A box is sold as a shell with the floor, sides, front panel and wheelhouses, and the tailgate, tail lights, bumper and liner are quoted separately or together as you prefer. Every box is measured, checked for rust at the wheel arches and the bed floor seams, and checked for collision damage at the front panel and rear corners before it is tagged.

## Which box length do I have?

Measure inside the box, floor level, from the front panel to the inside of the closed tailgate. About 67 inches is the 5-foot-7 box; about 76 inches is the 6-foot-4 box; about 98 inches is the 8-foot box found only on Regular Cab DS and Classic trucks. Stellantis's Canadian fact sheet for the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic lists the Regular Cab with 8-foot and 6-foot-4 beds, the Quad Cab with the 6-foot-4 bed and the Crew Cab with 5-foot-7 and 6-foot-4 beds. ## Which beds interchange?

Within a body, watch two options. A RamBox bed has the storage bins built into the box sides and a narrower inner width, and needs the RamBox wiring for its lights and locks; a non-RamBox bed is the plain box. And a 2013 and later DS bed with the factory tailgate camera and the tow-lamp harness is wired differently from a 2009 to 2012 bed. We tell you what each box has.

## Why does a DS bed not fit a DT frame?

Because the DT is a new frame with different mounting points, a wider body and, on the Crew Cab, wheelbases Stellantis lists as 144.5 and 153.5 inches, "both four inches longer" than the DS. The tail lamp openings, the fuel filler position and the bed bolts all differ. It is a different box.

## Where does a Ram 1500 bed rust?

The rear wheel arches, from the inside out, and the seam where the bed floor meets the front panel and the sides. Both are where Ontario salt sits. A box from a truck that has spent less time on salted roads is worth paying for, and we say where a box is from when we know. Every box we tag has been looked at from underneath.

## What comes with a used bed?

The box shell: floor, sides, front panel and wheelhouses, with the RamBox bins if fitted. The tailgate, tail lights, rear bumper, bed liner, tonneau and hitch are separate parts and are quoted on request, together if you want a complete swap. A bed is pickup only, on a trailer; we load it.
