What is different is the trim mix and the badge. Stellantis announced the end of Classic production at Warren on 9 August 2024. Parts share accordingly. **Aug 2024**: Stellantis: Classic production at Warren "will come to an end later this year". ## What exactly is a Ram 1500 Classic? When the new DT Ram 1500 launched for 2019, Ram kept building the previous truck and renamed it. Stellantis's Canadian fact sheet for the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic lists a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 at "305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque", a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 at "395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque" and a late-availability 3.0-litre EcoDiesel, in Regular Cab (8-foot and 6-foot-4 beds), Quad Cab (6-foot-4) and Crew Cab (5-foot-7 and 6-foot-4), across ST, Tradesman, Express, SLT and fleet SSV models in Canada. Trim fabrics differ by year; we send photos. | ## How do I know mine is a Classic and not the new body? The fastest tell is the front: the Classic keeps the 2013-style tall crosshair grille with the Ram's head badge in the centre, while the DT has a wider grille with "RAM" spelled out. From the back, the Classic's tailgate is a single drop-down with the Ram's head badge; a DT gate may split 60/40. Underneath, count the lugs: a Classic has five, a DT six. Because a seller's "2021 Ram 1500 headlight" could be one of two completely different parts, and the wrong one will not bolt on.
