Used Ram 1500 towing mirrors, power fold and standard

We stock used OEM Ram 1500 towing mirrors, the tall trailer-tow style in both power-folding and manual-folding forms, plus the standard non-towing mirror, from 2009 to 2026 trucks. A mirror is sold with its harness and connector, because the connector is what decides fit: heated glass, turn signal, puddle lamp, power fold, auto-dim, memory, blind-spot warning and the DT's camera each add pins. Two mirrors from the same year can have different connectors, so we photograph the plug and ask for a photo of yours. Every mirror is checked for cracked glass, working motors and heaters, and a solid mounting arm before it is tagged.

Why does the connector matter more than the year?

Because the mirror's features are wired, not bolted. A basic 2016 towing mirror with heat and a signal may have an eight-pin plug; the same year's Laramie mirror with power fold, puddle lamp and auto-dim has more. Plug a low-feature mirror into a high-feature door and the missing functions simply do not work; plug a high-feature mirror into a low-feature door and the extra features have nothing to drive them, and the plug may not even mate. So the honest match is your door's connector to the mirror's connector, and a photo of each takes ten seconds.

Can I put towing mirrors on a truck that had standard mirrors?

Within a body, yes, and it is the most common mirror inquiry. The towing mirror uses the same door mounting on the DS and the same on the DT. What you need to check is the plug and whether your door has the power-fold wiring if you want power fold. Manual-fold towing mirrors with heat and signal are the easy upgrade because they ask the door for nothing new.

Why is one side often in stock and the other not?

Because mirrors get knocked off one side at a time, and a truck that lost its driver's mirror to a post leaves us a good passenger one. If you need a pair for a colour or feature match, say so.

What is checked on a used mirror?

  • Glass, flat and convex, for cracks and delamination, and auto-dim glass for clouding.
  • Motors: glass adjust and power fold run on the donor.
  • Heater and signal checked on the donor.
  • Arm and base for cracks and play; a wobbly towing mirror is a tired mirror.
  • Cap colour and paint code recorded for painted caps.

Do you ship mirrors?

Yes. Mirrors are small enough to pack well and ship anywhere in Canada at the buyer's expense. Pickup in the Hamilton Region is also fine.
