5th gen Ram 1500 parts: DT, 2019 to 2026

The fifth-generation Ram 1500, platform code DT, arrived for 2019 as a new truck with a frame Stellantis described as 98 percent high-strength steel, wheelbases four inches longer than before, six-lug hubs, eTorque mild-hybrid engines, a 12-inch touchscreen and, from mid-2019, the 60/40 multifunction tailgate. We pull 5.7 HEMI eTorque and non-eTorque engines, 8HP75 transmissions, halogen and LED headlights, grilles, hoods, bumpers, doors, beds, tailgates, mirrors, Uconnect units, seats and Rebel and 20-inch wheel sets from DT trucks.

14.9 inFront brake rotors, "largest front brakes in segment" at launch.

What did Stellantis change for the 2019 DT?

The 15 January 2018 launch release lists the numbers that matter for fit. The frame is "98 percent high-strength steel" and "100 pounds lighter" than the previous truck's. Crew Cab wheelbases are "144.5-inch wheelbase on Crew Cab short beds and a 153.5-inch wheelbase on Crew Cab long beds – both four inches longer". The 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 (305 horsepower, 269 lb-ft) pairs with the "TorqueFlite 850RE transmission" and the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 (395 horsepower, 410 lb-ft) with the "TorqueFlite 8HP75 transmission". The eTorque mild-hybrid system "adds up to 90 lb.-ft. of torque to the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and up to 130 lb.-ft. to the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8". Three headlamp variations were offered, "Halogen, full LED and full LED with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS)", alongside a "12-inch reconfigurable touchscreen" and "Uconnect 4 with or without navigation on an 8.4-inch display". Front brakes are "14.9 inches". The truck is built at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan.

Is a 2025 or 2026 DT the same truck?

Mostly. The 2025 model year brought a revised front end, a new interior with larger Uconnect 5 screens and the Hurricane straight-six in place of the HEMI, and the same body, frame and six-lug hubs. Stellantis then announced on 5 June 2025 that the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 eTorque "returns" beginning with the 2026 Ram 1500, again at 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. So a 2019 to 2024 door, bed or tailgate fits a 2025; a 2019 to 2024 grille, headlight or bumper does not; and a HEMI from a 2019 to 2024 truck is not the same package as the 2026 eTorque engine.

What should a DT buyer check before ordering?

  • eTorque or not. Both HEMIs were sold from 2019 to 2022; from 2023 the HEMI came with eTorque. The HEMI guide explains how to tell.
  • Tailgate type and the recall. Transport Canada recall 2022699 covers 2019 and 2020 tailgates that could unlatch. The tailgate guide covers how to check a used gate.
  • Headlight type. Three variations. A used LED lamp is a good upgrade only with the matching harness and configuration.
  • Trim level for interiors. Laramie, Limited, Rebel and Longhorn interiors differ in leather, heating, ventilation and console. Send a photo of yours.
