Ram 1500 Classic parts: the DS body, 2019 to 2024
The Ram 1500 Classic is the fourth-generation DS truck, kept in production from 2019 to 2024 alongside the all-new fifth-generation DT. Its parts are 4th gen parts: the same doors, beds, tailgates, headlights, grilles, 5.7 HEMI and 3.6 Pentastar engines and 8HP70 transmission as a 2013 to 2018 truck. What is different is the trim mix and the badge. Stellantis announced the end of Classic production at Warren on 9 August 2024.
What exactly is a Ram 1500 Classic?
When the new DT Ram 1500 launched for 2019, Ram kept building the previous truck and renamed it. Stellantis's Canadian fact sheet for the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic lists a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 at "305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque", a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 at "395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque" and a late-availability 3.0-litre EcoDiesel, in Regular Cab (8-foot and 6-foot-4 beds), Quad Cab (6-foot-4) and Crew Cab (5-foot-7 and 6-foot-4), across ST, Tradesman, Express, SLT and fleet SSV models in Canada.

Nearly all of them, because it is the same truck. In practice:

How do I know mine is a Classic and not the new body?
The fastest tell is the front: the Classic keeps the 2013-style tall crosshair grille with the Ram's head badge in the centre, while the DT has a wider grille with "RAM" spelled out. From the back, the Classic's tailgate is a single drop-down with the Ram's head badge; a DT gate may split 60/40. Underneath, count the lugs: a Classic has five, a DT six. Why does this matter when buying a part?
Because a seller's "2021 Ram 1500 headlight" could be one of two completely different parts, and the wrong one will not bolt on. Every inquiry we take starts with "Classic body or new body?" for that reason. If you are not sure, send the VIN and we will tell you.
