Used Ram 1500 steering wheels, switches and clusters
We sell used Ram 1500 steering wheels (leather, heated and with audio and cruise controls), steering column switches (turn signal, wiper, headlamp and trailer-brake stalks) and instrument clusters from 2009 to 2026 trucks. Steering wheels and switches usually swap within a body with no programming. Instrument clusters are different: on these trucks the cluster stores the odometer and must be matched to the truck, so a used cluster is a job for a dealer or a shop with the software, and we say so before you buy. Every item is checked working on the donor before it is tagged.

Why does an instrument cluster need programming?
Because on these trucks the cluster is where the odometer reading is stored, and the truck's other modules expect the cluster to agree with them. Fit a used cluster and the truck will show the donor's mileage, and may show warnings until the cluster is matched. In Ontario an odometer must reflect the vehicle's true distance, so the cluster has to be reprogrammed or the mileage corrected properly by a dealer or a shop with the tooling. We sell clusters as good working units with the donor's mileage stated, and we tell every buyer that the matching step is theirs. A cluster is not a part to install and forget.
Which cluster do I have?
The DS came with a basic cluster and a premium cluster with a colour information display in the middle, and the trucks with the 7-inch display take a different unit again. The DT has a 3.5-inch and a 7-inch information display version. Send a photo of your dash with the key on and we will match the type, then the year range, because the software changed across the years.
Why buy a used steering wheel?
Because the leather on a Ram 1500 wheel wears through at ten o'clock and two o'clock long before the truck is done, and because upgrading a plain wheel to a leather, heated wheel with audio controls is one of the nicest things you can do for a work truck for the money. Within a body the wheel bolts to the same column. The airbag is a separate question: we sell the wheel with its airbag where the donor's was undeployed and matched, or without so you keep yours.

Do you ship these?
Yes. Wheels, switches and clusters ship anywhere in Canada at the buyer's expense, packed against knocks. Airbags ship only under the carrier's rules for them, so a wheel with an airbag may be pickup.
